Photography plays a crucial role for an e-commerce business like The Real Real. As a Senior Retoucher on the media team, we ensure that photo assets are produced in a consistent and appealing manner that aligns with the brand's aesthetic.
This attention to detail in product photography contributes to The Real Real's reputation for luxury and quality, which helps to attract customers and drive sales.
Products are shot in studio and then composited into mannequin images for scale. Studio reflections or any color casts are removed.
Masks can be used in photoshop to reveal the background for transparent bags.
The clone stamp and patch tool can seamlessly remove a lens showing on a reflective surface with monograms/brand logos.
Special Project: Recollection
For the Recollection project the company took apart multiple garments and combined them to make new ones so they wanted to show as much detail and information as possible. With the photos and the notes from the photographer I composited them together.
